Harry I bought nextel 4 years ago and everybody that was involved in the original sale has been promoted to higher positions and are still with the company.I wouldn't put much wait into that.My stock broker is the short king for AG Edwards and he has no plans on shorting Nextel and I have made alot of money on his advice. The stock he likes is AOL to short and SOC.NO charge.

Harry: Re: Nextel sales void, they are not alone.

I know a girl from Minn. that just graduated from college and wanted to get into communication sales. She moved to California and went to a job fair two weeks ago, Nextel was there along with all the cell companies, other wireless, and video conferencing companies. There was a hiring frenzy, she talked to Nextel but took a job with a video conferencing company, better draw plus commission. The other companies chased her out the door to her car, Nextel begged, Pac Tel was angry that she took a job so quick etc. etc.

Now she has her own luxury office on the fourth floor near the airport, 25 k fixed salary plus commission, a lavish expense account, 380 per month auto allowance, 80 per month cell phone allowance, and brand new Dell lap top. What she doesn't have is "experience", other than being a waitress while going to college.

Looks like all these companies are hard up, what happened to hiring experienced people? Where did they go?<VBG>

Al G., I don't really own N stock, I just rent it, short term.
