Can anyone point me to a link where the specific terms of the Consilium acquisition are defined? It looks like one might be able to purchase AMAT at a substantial discount based on the rather vague information in the news releases and Consilium's current price, but I can't tell for sure.

I think the move was made to get ready for the 300mm transition which will have much more automation. The fabs are going to have robots moving the wafers and bar scan readers keeping track of everything. AMAT had nothing in this area so now they will have a presence probably at a good price. Maybe they just cut costs to much and decided it was time to go on a spending spree, who knows?
