Deloitte & Touche Announces Ranking of
Fastest-growing Technology Companies; Top Company Achieves 4778%
Revenue Growth Over Five Years

DENVER--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 13, 1998--The fastest-growing
technology companies in the state of Colorado were recognized by
Deloitte & Touche LLP at an awards banquet held October 1 at the Adams
Mark Hotel, called the "1998 Colorado Technology Fast 50." The annual
awards program ranks by revenue growth technology companies
headquartered in the state of Colorado.
Carrier Access Corporation, a Boulder-based company led the group
with a five-year revenue growth of 4,774 percent.
"We commend these companies for their commitment to technology,
and for delivering on the promise of market longevity," said Steve
Berthe, a partner in Deloitte & Touche's Denver Technology Group.
"Being named a Fast 50 winner is a testament to a company's leadership
and its ability to not only have the right solution at the right
moment, but also to have the vision that allows growth over five
years," Berthe continued.
To be considered for the Fast 50 status, companies must produce a
technology, manufacture a technology-related product, be technology
intensive or use unique technology in problem-solving, or devote a
high percentage of effort to research and development of technology.
Additionally, in order to be eligible, companies must have been in
business for a minimum of five years with 1993 revenues of at least
$50,000.
The 1998 Colorado Technology Fast 50 program is presented by
Deloitte & Touche and sponsored by J.D. Edwards & Company and A.G.
Edwards & Sons, Inc., the Denver Business Journal, the Colorado
Advanced Technology Institute, the CU Business Advancement Center, and
the Metro Denver Network. The 1998 Colorado Technology Fast 50 company
ranking is as follows:
