Some shops are replacing & moving to ERP solutions (SAP, Peoplesoft, etc.) instead of fixing old mainframe systems.

These kind of transitions require a lot of planning and implementation time. I would think that most of those that are going to take place to solve Y2K problems are already on the books. Therefore I agree with Chris that enterprise software may take a hit next year. PeopleSoft has withdrawn from a financial conference at the last minute and their stock price has been hit hard lately. There may be some connection here. SAP still seems to be doing OK though, based on their last earnings release.
