Franz: I said "at least the third week....". Essentially, the market needs to clear the earnings season, and the after-shock to it, before it concentrates on the next quarter: by the third week of November, interim market research will be coming thick and fast.

I also think that general economic conditions, including world-wide reductions in interest rates and the first signs of recovery in Asia will be mending sentiment and building confidence.
