To really GROK options, you have to go and play with an options calculator.

Those neat stats are important "extras" that come out of the option model. To do justice to your money and time, I would think you'd want to know:

1) If the stock moves $1.00, how much will the option move?
2) If the stock stays the same over time period X, how much will the option decay?

Lots of things like that. Those are the "greeks", in option parlance. They're mostly show, explained and interpreted at the site, above.
