>>The company recently sold off a product line to Interleaf just about to propose SoftQuad Inc's fate when you asked the question...we believe that the acquiror of SoftQuad Inc's SGML division is one and the same as the pending? acquiror of SoftQuad [HoTMetaL/HMAPPS] Inc...Interleaf (NASDAQ:LEAF)...deductive logic would almost dictate this as the case...and we believe they are [possibly] leveraging sales of Panorama CD Web to fund SoftQuad Inc.'s acquisition...we beleive a tacit quid pro quo agreement is in place between SWEBF and LEAF...we furthermore find the existence of certain business units within Alpha Software illogical pursuant to the same logic Alpha/Rabins' utilized in jettisoning SoftQuad Inc viz a viz WebFiler, Alpha Five, Alpha Four, and even ONLINE m erchant...simply no different from SoftQuad Inc...none...Alpha/Rabins' jettisoned SoftQuad Inc due to confusion to the street...What do you guys do? NewKidCo will be an easy sell should they meet Q4 projections, however, what is SoftQuad, Inc., Alpha Four/Five, WebFiler, ONLINE m erchant ALL about?...still confusing and will not sell the street on buying into SoftQuad International...each [said] business unit, very simply, must be positioned for optimized shareholder value and be put 'in play'(.)...except for NewKidCo, which even they should at the right price Q1 '99? given exceeding expectations to (NASDAQ:THQI, ) (NYSE:TLC) et al...NewKidCo put their balls on the line where no one else would and if they are correct, which appears they simply have correctly identified a burgeoning market niche, should be worth a fortune to TLC, THQI...again, however, time and timing will be of the essence for NewKidCo to efficiently and effectively maximize shareholder value...this, agreeably, should be the Rabins' sole focus...contemporaneously jettisoning while maximizing shareholder value of all non-NewKidCo business units...(.)
