Tony: You are exactly correct. Intel would not have reported such a good third quarter if they were concerned about the fourth quarter. They would have taken several of those excess cents and saved them for the Q4.

Better yet - Intel has built in leading indicators. Chip sets sell before motherboards, and motherboards sell a quarter before processors. (this because processors are plugged in right before systems ship.)

So what did Intel say about motherboards sales trend?
