Did you remember the Banking Committee's hearings headed up by Henry B. Gonzales where everyone was given a total of five minutes for questioning each witness? That's the one where Maxine Waters told one Repub. congressman to "shut up, just shut up" when she didn't like his questioning or a statement he was making. Of course nothing was said in most of the mainstream media at the time about the Dems being partisan. The partisanship exhibited by the Republicans as compared to the Dems is like comparing the 'peace talks' between the U.S. and the communists of Korea and Viet Nam. Outrageous lies and propaganda coming from the communists vs. the dignity exhibited by the Americans. Speaking of Maxine. Did you see where she sent a letter of apology to Fidel Castro for us daring to ask him to send back an escaped cop killer who was seen on Cuban TV bragging about her being a 'victim' and 'repressed' in America because she's black. The woman, can't recall her name, mowed down two cops, who'd pulled her over, with automatic weapons and then took the cop's own gun and shot him twice in the head 'execution style'. She later escaped prison and fled to Cuba where she's being used as propaganda against America. Maxine Waters is so incredibly disgusting. She's so full of hate for America and white people and she spews this hate whenever she has a chance with impunity. With all the talk of 'hate speech', by the 'Christians' and the 'right wing', leading to killings why isn't she hauled up to answer for such speech leading to the deaths of many in the L.A. riots and elsewhere? But I think we all know the answer to that one. Did you also hear the latest about the Dems wanting to bring up Ken Starr before the impeachment hearings so they can declare he committed perjury and change the focus of the investigation to him instead of Clinton. I guess they figured it worked w/O.J. so why not here? The Dems have no shame whatsoever. They figure the American public is so stupid that they can manipulate them any way they want. You know something . . . I thing they're right. halfscot

Thanks for the clarification. Anybody see Shelby Steele's interview on the Lehrer news hour tonight? It was an unbelievably eloquent and incisive (and damning)analysis of Clinton's psychology. He feels that Clinton has made use of the dichotomy created in the baby-boomer (60's) generation, in which virtue is defined by the causes which one supports rather than in one's personal responsibility. He felt that it was a poison released into the society. I'm going to have to get a transcript of that airing. G. W.
