John, If they execute well, Nortel is the BEST prepared for convergence of voice & data. They really have all their bases covered, and with proven management, they should continue to be a "top player" well into the 21st century. IMHO wj

John,

Thank you for that very informed response. I'm sure that all of us have experienced how quickly a new computer seems to become old technology by the introduction of new technology. Apparently, the same holds true for telecom equipment so products must be brought to market very quickly. This, in turn, makes planning production and marketing very difficult.
