skeeter,

intel has just gone through a period of readjustment to market realities. they are now set to continue onwards and upwards. JMHO.

You really think PC chips won't be growing? There will always be stalls (as there has in INTC for the last year) but this quarter's number indicate to me that they're back in the saddle.

later, imho, leroyt

Re: "a no growth stock like intel doesn't deserve a 26 pe except in an irrational bubble market . . . ."

Treasury bonds have zero growth and a "PE" of around 20.

"james, mike has good analysis. a no growth stock like intel doesn't deserve a 26 pe except in an irrational bubble market. the problem is that the rest of america is dumb and can't figure out intel is a no growth company. that is, until they don't grow for awhile.

mike called the bank stocks - ahead of time, to a "t." when atmel was $50 he said $10, bingo. hated xlnx and altr. he was wrong on the stock (dead right on the business - but dumb is as dumb does - and dumb believed management that "next q would be great" for 6 qs. they then
figured out - after 6 straight q's of nothing, that management was full of crap).

intel, if they don't grow as they haven't been, is worth maybe 60% of the present valuation. if they do grow then they are worth more. i don't think they grow for a while."
++++++++++++
MB, huh? Skeeter all I did was post GOOD news about 3rd QTR earnings back on Oct 13 and you went on the attack against Intel, well, speechless are we?

you've been quiet ever since the Brink was proven right.
