Papaya : Interesting that you're bullish on gold but I don't share your pessimism for the Dow. Even on the charts, which you showed, the stochastics look positive for an upturn.

It's not that I'm optimistic for the Dow but, what surprises me as I said earlier, is that it doesn't want to fall. One would have thought, with the fall in the dollar, that there would have been a serious reversal of cash flow from the equity market, but it doesn't seem to have happened.

I have been following the 5-minute S&P for some days and every time I think it will fall, it doesn't. Like today. (To see the graph go to fiendbear.com and find the hot-spot at the bottom of the page.)

Frankly, I don't see the Dow cracking 8400 --- nor 7400 --- a range-bound drift seems the most likely to me, for the forseeable future.
