Gary, under the circumstances I consider INTC's results to be excellent. Remember that their marketing dept goofed early last year with Pentium II. Most companies woke up to the fact that one just does not need 300Mhz to run Exel on. This left Intel heavily too weighted in the high end. The Celeron was a miserable compromise and the K6 made a lot of ground, and Intel lost heaps of market share in the low/mid desk top biz. With this background, I think they did well Just my 2 cents worth Alan
