Sal, you probably remember that Intel got DEC's StrongARM implementation in the patent suit settlement. It was supposed to be good stuff, fast, small, low power, and Intel was supposed to be weak in that area, embedded processors. I imagine you know better than me if and how Intel was moving forward with it, early stories were that they knew it was a good piece of work. But processors sell pretty cheap in that market. Hard to make Intel-style money.

ARM the company, beats me. License deals tend not to be huge revenue things, right? Aside from the DEC/Intel sideshow, I haven't heard much news on ARM lately.

Cheers, Dan.

>>>Hey, you guys have any thoughts on ARM (ARMHY)?

I notice my code warrior compiler supports it, but I really don't know much about it. Powerful processor for embedded systems, yes?

Nice to see a post from you again, Sal.
