I agree but when? Asia,Latin America,Impeachment,Y2K, more hedge fund failures,earnings forecasts?
Why haven't we crashed yet? Good ole boys in Indiana haven't yanked their funds from equities into money markets YET.
Long at the end of the day? Very few reasons.

IBM has a broad line of businesses, so it is natural for them to be affected by Asia's problems and the coming economic slowdown.

If you want the real indication that things are heading down, look at CSCO and MSFT. You can explain away MSFT's recent weakness on the DOJ, but CSCO ?

Something else to think about, however. If you go back to the bear of '73 - '74, the best companies were the last to fall. When they did -- it signaled the bottom.
