Ok Ralph. That's a tough one, but let me see:

1. AMD, out of frustration, could commit economic suicide with lower prices just to gain market share. The threat of a severe price war concerns me, but not as much as it did six months ago.

2. AMD might deliver the K7 on time, under budget, and at a performance level that matches INTC. Given AMD's history I don't think this will happen, but it concerns me a little.

3. The Asian recession could spread to the U.S. and Canada, Europe etc. That would really hurt everyone. So far the Asian recession, has in some ways, had a benign effect on the U.S. economy; slowing growth, lowering inflation and interest rates. But it's a delicate balance and a continued slowdown in Asia could send us into a recession.

Now you tell me three things you like about INTC and concerns you as a short seller. Lets see if you have thought this through.
