Invalid? I don't think so. Irrelevant, to some extent? Yes, Zoltan, they may be ineffective in gauging the outcome of the vote--I and many others in the media believe that they're pretty good, i.e. scientific, in measuring the opinion of the public at large. The best polls take into account factors such as you cited.

By the way, where did you get the name Zoltan? As that some sort of Norse God or something? Just curious.
