This IS quite a confusing display! It's not a L2 display, which is what I'd thought it might be. An L2 display would show sorted lists of bids and asks side-by-side, with the MM symbol of each bid and offer shown. The best bid/ask would be at the top.

quote.com is showing a chronological list of trades, bids, and offers. This is commonly called a "time and sales" chart. However, a time and sales chart normally only shows BEST bid and ask. It's kind of bizarre to shows all of the invidual bids/asks like this in chronological order, and not terribly useful.

(Is there some indication of which ones are the best at any one time? Perhaps the asterisks? This is not obvious, and isn't explained on their help page.)

My opinion on quote.com: not best in class. :(
