simple facts that one should be able to reason easily why ciena is a great steal at this price: 1. Internet bandwidth needs are exponentially growing and doubling every six months 2. The only way to increase bandwidth for existing fiber is to usw DWDM 3. Ciena has the best field tested DWDM systems; all major companies use Ciena - they'll all need to increas their capacity 4. Ciena OC-192 DirectConnect for IP/ATM over DWDM will be a big hit as this can directly connect to systems from CSCO and ASND. This will also open up a new wave of buying as the economy of scale will tip heavily towards those SPs that use this DirectConnect feature; how? they'll be able to sell 3c/min call where the old carriers without DirectConnect cannot. In fact there are more resons, but enough for now. Ciena, IMO, will be around 30$ in no time.
