Well, I must say the Orangutan is actually quite effective :)
Whenever I would go check for drivers, that mutant ape made strange barking noises that attracted EVERYONE at the office. Most of them did check out the SLI specs and thought it was pretty cool.

I'm reserving judgement. While the whole thing seems very silly, I haven't heard any negative comments yet... most just thought it was weird, and wondered why they chose it :)

I think a PR campaign (even one with mutant apes) is better than no campaign, but only time will tell. I was certainly thinking of buying an SLI setup (until I realized I already have an X24).

Stuart,

I'm not an investor in tdfx, but was wondering around SI and I've got to say that the last two post from you are the funniest things I've read in several days.

That monkey made me cry. I'm down allot of dollars with my Creative labs investment. I think if they stuck that(those?) monkey on Creafs website, I might fly to Singapore and kick some butt.

Mike

If you squint really, really hard you'll see that the monkey is actually the Quake2 logo dressed up for halloween.

Chip

P.S. OK, if you squint really hard AFTER eating two tequilla worms!

Well at least we have finally seen the faces of the PR machine at 3DFX.

Dan

BTW
Good luck to the guys going long on TDFX. After a miserable year I have decided to sell out and open an orphanage for ginger haired children.
