This question suggests you are simply extrapolating short-run performance. Despite periodic weakness, growth is the norm for economies and businesses. It seems more reasonable to assume that a dominant company like Intel in a growing industry in a growing global economy will resume its growth.

I think if you are looking for signs of an irrational bubble, you could make a better case with some of the internet stocks.
