jg, I agree with you. The sad irony is that in the near future, if not already so, it will be more difficult to dismiss someone from a government job for cause than to remove people from welfare rolls. I'm disappointed in Clinton's 100,000 teachers proposal when so many teachers are already substandard. I suspect the school administrators will just divert money they would have spent on teaching staff anyway and use it for something else.
