That's quite correct. They will hold off buying until prices get higher and the markets are perceived to be safer. Then they'll say, "oh my god, we gotta get long". You don't want to be contrarian, you want to join the crowd, early. That takes perceived risk and that's when risk is most often at its least.

They may be back with a vengeance getting cash advances on their credit cards and sticking them in margin accounts so they can buy more growth funds that invest in DELL and AMZN. Just when I thought we were starting to see signs of sanity we are off to Alan in Wonderland.
