Makes about as much sense as Apple Computer to me. Being confused doesn't seem to hurt their stock price.

Bob,

I don't think the MII+ is a new name for the MXi. Cyrix has openly been debating whether or not it would use the Cayenne core in a slot one processor or just keep it socket 7. I believe that they are now just saying that they will not go the Slot 1 route with the Cayenne. With the MII+, Cyrix is saying that they will not just give up the Socket 7 market to AMD. But instead will offer a chip with a better FPU and builtin graphics to compete in that market. The MXi will still offer much more integration (DVD, ethernet, modem, ...), but requires its own socket. I think this is a good plan. As long as they already have the Cayenne core going into the MXi, they should leverage it into the Socket 7 market, as well. With the April release, they must feel that they have to manufacture it at 0.18u in order to sell it at a profit (and/or reduce heat due to the on-board graphics). Does this make sense to you?

Pravin.
