New Denso phone seems like a way to use a "phone" for data more efficiently than the more usual CDMA "phone". My primary interest has always been data transmission - wire and wireless. George Gilder has long maintained that wireless "phones" (or wireless "appliances") will replace PC computers as the preferred method of access to the internet. Curious whether Denso is a Q licensee.- assume so. Also curious whether some people may wish to have a Denso phone for data transmission and a light pocket phone for voice use? Or is a medium size which combines both voice and data more useful generally? Comments? Chaz

Denso has now come up with a phone that sounds pretty nifty.
They like cdma so much that they built their plant in San Diego.

Sprint PCS Announces Exclusive Availability of Sprint PCS
Touchpoint Phone

Does this (made near SanDiego) imply that this Touchpoint
phone uses Qualcomm's chip design technology ? Anyone has
any good/bad experience with it ? Seems to provide better
battery life than Q phone while being only slightly larger
(and less cooler).
