Mohan,

CPQ acquired the DEC service business. I believe that business has 30% margins. This would tend to average up their overall margins.

It would be useful to look at their operating expenses and see what improvements have been there since these are separate from gross margins.

Mohan, I would rather take direction from Dell than from CPQ.

Dell has stated earlier in the quarter ASP may decline for desktop systems as well as portables. A net increase in portables and server sales will have the effect of raising ASP.

Dell also stated with the last quarter report, Dell would be aggressive in pricing to gain market share. New products will add to ASP but will take several quarters to alter the figure directly. Providing more complete solutions to companies needs can add unit sales so is an added benefit.

I am expecting a small decline in ASP but a very large gain in units.

Translation= REVENUES!!!!!!!!!
