Hi Chris,
Wow - i think the word 'punished' comes to mind. I feel your pain!

SBSE has always been volatile - remember a year or so ago when it went from 25 to 15 in a matter of days? The downside swings have always been more severe than the upside.

I haven't been following SBSE in a while, but I keep tabs on the share price every so often.

You're not seeing things clearly.

The downward trend in the few days before the warning makes it clear that there was a substantial amount of insider trading.

Chris:

I was out fly-fishing yesterday and came back to see a major anomaly in the universe: SBSE < $10/share!!! I am getting killed here so I did the obvious thing and bought more stock.

I listened very closely to the conference call and I didn't hear anything unreasonable or suspicious. The multiple is under 10 now and I agree that there is little downside risk. Furthermore, it appears that a stock buyback is assured if the price doesn't make a comeback.

I hope that my report from SBSE IR did not cause any misconception on anyone's part. I think J. Wade was overpositive, but did mention the worry about a slowdown and a review that was taking place. I am a bit upset, however, that the stock price tanked before this review of business was made public. This is very suspicious.

Anyway, I hope you are holding out ok. IMHO it is important to remember what Warren Buffett says about investing: If you can't watch the value of the companies you own go down 50% and not have confidence, you didn't do your homework. I don't think either of us is a Warren Buffett, but we can turn our focus to SBSE's business which is pretty good considering the direction of the economy.
