1) But at what price? AOL sold those slots to highest bidder.
And I'm not so sure that departures/failures will keep as many
panting to pay up.

2) Rate of announcements of deals has slowed very noticeably over
past 3-5 months. Especially noteworthy because Jul-Sep is when a
lot of buying normally is done for X-Mas.
