Hi Clint,

Nice work on intc, msft, and yhoo. Msft looks pretty strong today. In fact, this week is looking like a traditional nasdaq earnings related rally week. Thus I am curious why you say you'll be shorting more stocks from here on. Are you turning bearish here? Also what stocks look like good shorts to you? I think hsy looks vulnerable. If no new news comes out soon, then next week msft reports and I would guess the market would go higher, wouldn't you?

Hi Clint,

Well INTC earnings out and the execution at the company was superb under pressure. All they need now is for the world markets to hold intact.

As I said earlier, I see lots of positive divergences in the charts for the indices (Naz, OEX, SPX, NYA) and bottoming action in some stocks. It remains to be seen if they pan out but the action today was encouraging. Sentiment is still overwhelmingly bearish. More rate cuts in Europe and US are on their way - at some point the economic authorities will get it right.

So what have you seen that has turned you more bearish than earlier?

Later,
- MJ
