I've just listened to the Seagate conference call. A lot was said, and I'm not going to record it for you, but if it all depended on Cheetha, things are looking great.

Cheetha has seen 28% sequential growth this quarter. Demand is strong. Being qualified in more product platforms than anticipated. They are capacity constrained due to component supply.

In general, my feeling was the it's not easy to say it was good or bad. They showed higher gross margins on flat revenues due to cost reductions. ASP's look like they will continue to be challenged. Inventory is down. No solid projections for units going forward.

They did say 3.2 gig is shipping and qualifying. They hope to announce a product shortly to close the gap with Maxtor. Cuda 18/36 progressing in Qualification.

It would seem to me that if they continue to support Cheetha with HIF from Innovex, this is their most promising program. It shows great confidence in the product from Seagate. I would still like to see another customer, and for that matter several.

Regards,

Mark
