Yes. Whitey managed the Cardinals from 1980-90. Sadly, Northwestern has already lost to Illinois this year. They're 0-3 in The Greatest Conference in the History of Civilization and their last 5 games are against Michigan, Ohio State, Michigan State, Purdue and Penn State. They play Michigan Saturday in Evanston. It's Homecoming (who is the Einstein who scheduled the defending National Champions for Homecoming) and I'll be up there to lend moral support. NU is a very young team with a freshman QB. The recruits from the Bowl Years (as we NU'ers so fondly remember 1995 and 1996) should bear fruit in the next couple of seasons.
