Mark, it was not an advertisement. That was some sort of a
place holder for an advertisement, perhaps left over from
the conversion to a web article.

As for Email, Portico will go get your email. It can go check
every 15 minutes. As for AOL in particular, it seems there is
no problem with it. Here is part of the AOL setup description
in the web based Portico (www.portico.net):

Email and ISP Information

Note: Your account may be checked for new email as frequently as every 15 minutes.
If your ISP (or AOL) charges per-minute access fees, these fees will apply each time
your account is checked. Please confirm your billing plan with your ISP before using
mail consolidation.

My guess is that either the LA Times reporter made a mistake or
the AOL integration was added recently. Any AOLers out there?

As for the firewall, Markman said in an interview posted here
recently, that they were working on this and much better
enterprise integration. This will help resellers and carriers
sign large accounts. I guess forwarding would be a workaround
to any account or firewall issues?

As for the radio ads, I hear them everyday on KCBS as General
Magic is sponsoring the "Market Update" segment. Lots of my
fellow co-workers already know about Portico because of these
ads.
