I think the way it will go, is that Greenspan may well be letting it all come apart - under control (support for LTCM). When he and the Republicans will once again install a gold standard. remember during the last several sessions with Congress, he spoke about a gold standard. I think we will be able to keep the gold we have, I think we will be able to buy more, - if we can raise the money to buy it.
I think where we are headed is an outright control over the price of gold again. This will be set at a point where miners can make a profit from mining.
