Hi Maria, My recollection is that management originally predicted break even for the third quarter and a profit for quarter 4. This was at the Feb. merger CC. They backed away from the break even prediction at the last CC and said that profitability was likely to take longer than they had originally projected.
FWIW, If i get the chance I would like to ask management how much guidance they are giving analysts since NEWZ has missed estimates badly to date.

IMHO we are still in a "show me the money" situation w/ NEWZ. We need to show significant top line revenue growth (there was basically none the last 2 quarters) and some improvement in the bottom line for money to start flowing back into this stock. Sadly for us there aren't many fund managers who want or are able to buy stocks that are selling under $5.00.

I still expect the stock to "pop" at some point. Last time it was apparently SOES traders. Next time ?? but at this level I have been somewhat surprised at the lack of some good juicy buyout speculation .

Thanks again to all for your due diligence. rod

Maria,

I can't remember where I saw it, but I remember McLagan backpedalling on his third qtr profitability projection. I believe he revised it to the fourth qtr. due to unforeseen charges related to Individual. If we have a + qtr, I would see it as extremely positive.

Also, I think volume is the main factor on share price today (and lately). There just is no compelling reason to buy this stock until they begin to show positive earnings. (In light of the general market condition). I think if McLagan can stop the bleeding, the market will start to notice.
