>>Sorry, but the Republicans were in charge of the Senate by the time the trials rolled around, toward the end of the Reagan-Bush Administration.

Wrong. The Dems granted immunity as they were in the majority. Not that I would ever expect you to admit your cluelessness - that would be out of character.

>>By who? The losers at the Cato Institute? The folks overseas that

Gee, and I even provided a site:
cgi.pathfinder.com

And that's by historians and some politicians, not a public poll.

>>I talk to thought he was a senile cowboy when he was in office, and while the cowboy part was an affectation of his, the Alzheimers everyone now knows about.

Unlike Clinton, RR didn't have mental problems while in office - Clinton admitted his failing mind in his testimony. That's now a fact. You should hang around people of intelligence, you might learn something. RR made the Dems look bad and the USA look great. RR won the Cold War and his economic reforms have given the US its present prosperity and hegemony, which Clinton is squandering by his incompetence. Clinton holds the record for fewest press conferences for a reason - he can expose himself to questioning.

>>It's more than possible that Reagan might have recognized this himself and stepped aside, if he hadn't become the meal ticket for so many nutty ideologues who pushed him up front, and then manipulated him.

Remember, it has been Clinton, not Reagan who exhibited a failing mind during his presidency. Reagan never lost a general election and always was smart enough to make the Dems look dumb. Reagan won two mandates, two landslides. Clinton had two slight minority victories and no mandate to govern. Reagan built the GOP and so has Clinton as he has devastated and defined the Dems, for the good of the USA.

>>He said he would lower crime, lower unemployment, and create a vibrant economy.

Historians have pronounced Slick a failure - even assuming he remains in the office he disgraced by his presence. While Nixon had China, Clinton did nothing to achieve those things. He existed while it happened. Clinton gave us our first government by poll and he is inconsequential as a result. His failures did produce a Rep Congress which has done a great deal of good. Including his coming impeachment.

>>Maybe you better light up another one - I think you're running out of good ideas :-)

You are an optimist, you believe that you think. When you have a cogent thought we'll let you know. Just don't hold your breath, we shan't.
