Another RNTK release--I have highlighted an interesting phrase. This is something we have not seen before and I take it as a big positive coming from RNTK, who is usually quite conservative about such things. Wednesday October 14, 9:18 am Eastern Time Company Press Release SOURCE: Global Public Relations, Ltd. Global Public Relations Services, Ltd. Retained by Rentech, Inc. RALEIGH, N.C., Oct. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Global Public Relations Services, Ltd., based in Raleigh, North Carolina, has been retained by Rentech, Inc. (Nasdaq: RNTK - news), according to Mia Reed, President of Global Public Relations, to consult and coordinate the Company's marketing and advertising programs and to introduce potential acquisition opportunities. Rentech is based in Denver, Colorado. The Company was formed in December 1981 to develop and market its patented technology for the conversion of carbon-bearing materials into premium liquid hydrocarbons, i.e., the chemical conversion of gas to liquids (GTL). Since its formation, Rentech has transformed itself into a holding company focusing in three distinct business sectors, with each sector being simultaneously developed to propel the Company into a successful growth mode. This three-pronged approach and business development plan is comprised of: (1) the licensing and utilization of Gas-To- Liquid (GTL) technology, (2) the acquisition and operation of profitable and positive cash flow entities, and (3) the development and commercialization of high technology products specifically involving shape memory alloys and thin film substrates for various industrial and commercial applications. Rentech's goal is to promote and market its GTL technology and build solid cash flow. The Company will focus on providing advanced technology for the new millennium and improving the quality of the environment with its GTL and high technology capabilities, while maximizing shareholder value. Rentech's latest development is the execution of a favorable licensing agreement with Texaco, which was announced October 8th. Under this agreement Texaco will utilize Rentech's Gas-To-Liquids technology in combination with Texaco's proprietary gasification technology. The successful negotiation of this agreement is a major advancement in Rentech's goal to license and utilize the GTL Technology and is expected to create substantial additional revenue for the Company. ''Rentech is pleased to be working with Global. The firm has an excellent reputation and has proven their ability to perform for Rentech,'' stated Dennis L. Yakobson, President and CEO of Rentech.
