Chat CD

Thanks, Larry, I needed that. I've been watching the damn thing for the past three months at least, convinced there was a buy here somewhere but afraid to act. Today's action (when the stock went down on seemingly positive news) convinced me that CD is the stock that no fund manager wants to admit is in his portfolio. When things get that malodorous, when absolutely everyone has decided the thing is death incarnate, maybe a buy becomes a low risk action.

I didn't know about the CV pfd. Is it actively traded? Do you know the symbol? Given the market and the inexorable action of stops, my IRA is fairly full of cash, and 17% sounds like a very attractive yield for a company that doesn't seem to be in danger of bankruptcy.
