Ed-Can't answer your question, but what created the rumors?

I too am very far from the black. I don't think i would appreciate a takeover.

FWIW,

Craig

Edward, some time ago someone posted a very convincing argument for why AMAT wouldn't be interested in Cymer. I can't remember the details, but I'm sure someone will post. I agree with the previous post, I don't have a lot of interest in seeing Cymer acquired. It isn't that I don't want a higher price, but alone is the way to the most explosive growth. With Cymer's balance sheet, there is no reason to believe we aren't going to survive the downturn, and there is no reason why we would be better off with a bigger suiter. My guess is Angus isn't interested in selling at any price, but poison pill or not, an acquirer might be able to get a majority of shares if the price is high enough.
