Vanguard is an Index fund so they have you tied into the norm. Fidelity and most of the others are managed funds. I have some in both and because of the nature of the diversity of investment options today with some strong and weak parts of the sector anticipating varying results I would recommend Fidelity.(now)

YO YO !

I mentioned I am in Fidelity REIT fund. It has had a top 10 year performance. If you are looking at a shorter horizon this would be my top pick.

YOYO,
I'm a bit out of touch with REIT's, that's why I stopped by, but a while back I was interested in two Cohen and Steers funds, CSRSX (open end) and RFI (closed end). I made good profit with a well timed (as in lucky) short term foray into RFI. A third REIT mutual that was really hot is CGMRX. You might want to check 'em out.

Anybody here have any opinions on my former faves? I'd like to hear 'em.
