Dunno Doc, the last two stories I posted significantly reduces the chances we hit 75-80 this week. They appear to be delaying the SS reform votes not one week, but two. I'm pretty sure they had said these votes would start on the 20th but now we're skipping to November. Further, doesn't sound like we're gonna hear anything on the fiscal moves till a week from Tuesday. Just today they were leaking rumors we'd hear news on this in the next handful of days. I think the president should come out and clarify what happens when...remove all the middle men, and take charge.

Short of getting carried along with the DOW if we experience short term upside, looks it may be a couple weeks till we see 80. Even if the 18 billion IMF funding is approved in the next couple days, I would guess this is on hold pending the release of the fiscal moves also. Don't like how this has panned out.

Doc, another potential short term hitch...what's the chance it takes a week to count second round votes? So far I'm disappointed but still confident they will pull this off. I suppose some more sweating would support the urgency to pull off these reforms, but then again, there's likely to be a 20-30 billion credit line here soon so I hope we're not back to Cardoso and crew against Brazil...and the world I suppose.

At some point here soon, earnings reports and hopefully first real official comments from new owners may help this situation out. Anyone have any idea on earnings dates?
