Mega thanks for the CC recap. I do not call from here so it is great to get these wrap ups. Your notes are concise and to the point, nice work. The re: to catching up to Maxtor is simple. Maxtor has been consistently ahead of the pack on desktop product announcements. In fact, Seagate is dead last in my reckoning and is really two generations behind in terms of the market. They have to play a leap frog game. It would be a stunning feat for them given their poor history. I do like the high end situation for them however.

That was a 4 GB/platter drive you are referring to.
HTCH supplies the Cheetah suspensions which are not a constraint. Wonder if there could be yield problems with flex circuits. HTCH will tell you SEG still having some problems but they haven't said it was constraining.
