Seconds Out, Have you seen the noticeable drop in the number of shorts at the end of Sept (.9 mil from around 1.7 mil the previous month, viwes.com ). Earnings should be out on or about October 28. It will be interesting to find out the expenses associated with the advertisement and the free one month trial (60 minutes) for Portico. Since the revenues will be minimal, I assume the EPS numbers will be negative. A pure guess on my part (taking into account that GMGCs expenses would be up this qtr vs last qtr) would be that GMGC losses around 40 cents based on expenses of around $12 mil (up from around $9 mil last qtr if my memory serves me right) and outstanding shares around 30 mil. This number (EPS) is better than last qtr although I hope that the analysts focus on the increase in revenues. Below is a response from the editor who published the interviewed on Markman last week. I was a little worried about Markman's response concerning the telecos internal vs marketing trials statement and 1999. Due to the response below and to the fact that GMGC basically came out last month and stated that they were accelerating the ramp-up of Portico, I believe that announcements will follow shortly either this month or next month with revenues from the telecos to start either in late 4th qtr or 1st qtr 99 (THIS IS ALL IMHO).
