2 computers, one is 400 with 192 ram and the other 200 with 128. Not complicated or fancy or different from most traders. Real time news from Dow Jones and Reuters.. 2 real time quotes programs one from AB Watley and the othe from NAQ, both with real time charts so if one goes down I have the other. 3 brokerage accounts.. Metastock for Windows 6.5. Telescan TIP with prosearch (this for scanning the market according to 124 indicators (I use only about 26), Technifilter for just P&F charting. Lots of great sites on the internet for fundamental analysis.

And I really read the Investor's Business Daily thoroughly every day and Wall Street Journal(interactive), Business Week, Worth, Barrons, Individual Investor. I get value line.. Technical Analysis of Stocks and Commodities. Now this is my 'reading for pleasure'.. I don't find it a chore at all. Unfortunately or fortunately depending how you look it, I remember what I read.

My Technical strategies are straightforward and not convoluted. I make mistakes and exit quickly, just like everyone else.

On a good day I trade with as much money as I can without going into MARGIN..or losing track of my trades. On bad days I'm more conservative and go with about 15k worth of puts and a trade I get off the DJ news (not more than 1) and occasional earnings play or defensive stock. I have not held anything except CLX, CCE, NEM in october more than overnight and usually out the next morning.
