Thanks. You aren't suggesting that the MKII-8 doesn't have a power supply, are you?

I see that the dual power supply MKII-16 weighs 5 pounds more than the single supply, so I'll go out on a limb and guess that a single power supply weighs 5 pounds. If an external power supply can be used, and the rugged chassis replaced with plastic packaging, I would bet that an 8 port switch could be extremely light, and probably a lot less expensive. This might be useful to capture all that Ethernet LAN business. <g>
