Wow. That would be pretty cool and, if this guy knows the industry, a pretty powerful statement. I'd say that could take a dollar or two off of the cube's share price. (g)

The low volume in CUBE following the earnings report is truly amazing.
Appears most folks have lost interest...maybe that's good.

INTERNATIONAL: What's Up With Murdoch's "ESkyB"

News Corp. Chairman Rupert Murdoch said details are still being worked out on a pan-European pay-TV alliance involving his company, Germany's Kirch Group, Italy's Mediaset and possibly British Sky Broadcasting, 40-percent owned by the media giant.

So far, there is no deal among the parties, he said.

"It is early days yet. We were appealed to for help, and Mediaset and ourselves just had agreed to go to due diligence to see what is there and what can be done. There is no deal, not even a framework of a deal at this stage."

As for some type of digital television operation with Italy's RAI, Murdoch said, "It is changing day by day. It is too early to make any announcement on that but we are certainly in talks. There is nothing certain at all."

The proposed media mega-deals also involve Saudi prince al-Waleed bin Talaal.

Any completed effort will make News Corp. a much bigger force on the continent.

"There are deals all over the place," Murdoch said. "We already have 50 percent of the Vox channel (in Germany) which is growing very well. We have a partnership with Bertelsmann, so we have many relationships in Europe."
