joe, paul is funny. he first ran into me on either the xlnx or altr thread. i was pointing out to folks that those companies were not growing earnings and he said that this didn't matter b/c they had cool products. he then said i had no credibility saying xlnx and altr were overpriced in the $50s b/c i didn't know what an fpga or pld stood for.

my points was it didn't matter. they weren't increasing earnings. period. i did and do know what and fpga and pld stands for.

guys like paul are lucky. he got into intel through some options way back when. doesn't really do any analysis other than, "great company, uh, uh, uh stock must go up." in the case of intel, it has done very nicely.

i feel bad for his brother who's done the same thing with zenith stock ;-)
