>>Where do I get NTBOOTDD.SYS? Is it created in the NT installation
process?

Understand that this answer is based on my reading and best
understanding, since I don't have SCSI disks. That said ...

NTBOOTDD.SYS is created in the install if you install to a
SCSI disk. But if you don't, it's just the SCSI driver
renamed. So in this case, rename AIC78U2.SYS to
NTBOOTDD.SYS.

Note: After my earlier post I thought about the situation
and realized that there are potential conflicts in the
registry as to SCSI controllers (NT labels IDE controllers
as "SCSI", which is to confuse the non-cognoscenti as best
I can tell). I have not thought this completely through,
but my thinking so far raises serious questions in my mind
that I hadn't thought about earlier. I note there
are several other responses to my earlier post (which I
haven't read yet) that may address this. If not, I will
try to do so later.
