Shane

Please pardon my ignorance, but
Why is Newcom a "fake" company?

I've never been certain exactly what they were beyond a brand name.

Shane, on DSL & Cable OEM modems verses peripheral add-on. First off you share an opinion counter to some very powerful people, DELL, Compaq, 3Com, Alantic Bell and many others are of a different mind set.

There are some indications the next generation modems will be multi-lingual and be adaptable to whatever service is available. However, with the advent of USB...you could make a valid argument in favor of your case.

My bet is on OEM built in modems, based on past experience, I'd prefer it that way. USB will handle my printers, scanners, cameras, speakers, joysticks and the rest.

DSL will not be coming along fast enough to grow market share to help Zoom in time.
