KJ. , I think maybe both you and Thomas G. may both be right regarding the y2k problem. Though HP and IBM and other companies have to move technology forward there might be a question as how much they sell to end users facing what seems to be some formidible problems regarding y2k.

There are something like 440 days left to year 2k. I hear some companies are working on making over 500 individual programs y2k compliant. Now if they fix 1 a day which they aren't, it would take till late Feb/March 2000 to get it all under control. It seems like end users will have to use allot of manpower and financial resources to get this done in any kind of decent time frame.

I've heard so many opinions that I'm not sure if anybody really has the answer on what the impact will be.
