BTW, Andy Neff of Bear Stearns estimates ASP$ of x86 microprocessors for the next few years as follows: 97: 201, 98: 198, 99: 196, 2000: 193, 2001: 189, 2002: 184.

He states that, "As a result of the mix shift toward the high end, x86 average selling prices are expected to decline just slightly over the next 5 years, even though midrange and workstation average selling prices are forecast to increase."

I hope he's right.
